About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Lifeguards to join our team at the Tennant Creek Pool. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and supervision in all aquatic environments. This role requires effective communication with patrons, prompt response to emergency situations, and active participation in maintaining pool and surrounding areas.

The Essentials

Experience in lifeguard practices, water safety principles, and crowd control.
First Aid and Resuscitation certificates.
SLSA Bronze Medallion Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue).
A current Northern Territory Working with Children’s Clearance (Ochre Card).
A current National Police Criminal History Check. (within the last 3 months).
A current Northern Territory Working with Children’s Clearance (Ochre Card).
A current Driver’s Licence.

You approach challenges with a proactive mindset, quickly identifying and implementing effective solutions.
You communicate clearly and effectively with team members, facility users, and stakeholders, fostering a safe and welcoming environment.
The Finer Details

Casual position paying at Level 3 of the Barkly Regional Council Enterprise Agreement 2023.
A Casual Hourly Rate of $34.93 (including 25% casual loading)
Tennant Creek Zone Allowance of $1.89 per ordinary hour.
11.5% Superannuation.
