Description

We’re partnering with a respected community housing organisation seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

This role is ideal for someone experienced in tenancy management who enjoys balancing strong administrative capability with people centred housing support.

You will manage an allocated portfolio and deliver high quality housing services aligned with legislative, regulatory and compliance frameworks

Key Responsibilities
Deliver end to end tenancy management across an allocated portfolio
Manage rent collection, rental arrears, payment plans and tenancy debts
Conduct routine, ingoing and outgoing property inspections
Ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act and relevant regulatory requirements
Sustain tenancies through proactive risk identification and early intervention
Maintain accurate and timely records within the tenancy management system
Prepare documentation, notices and represent matters at Tribunal where required
Build strong working relationships with support providers, referral agencies and key stakeholders
About You
Proven experience managing a housing portfolio in community, public or private housing
Strong understanding of tenancy legislation and compliance requirements
Confident managing complex tenancy matters including arrears, anti-social behaviour and end of tenancy processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience working with vulnerable or socially disadvantaged communities
Current driver’s licence
Working with Vulnerable People and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
