Description

Highlands Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Nurse to join our team 4 days per week (36hr week).

We're a well-established, community-focused small animal practice located in the beautiful Southern Highlands. Our team prides itself on delivering exceptional care to our patients and their humans in a warm and professional environment.

About the Role:
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering a great mix of client service and clinical nursing duties. You will:

Assist the veterinarian during consultations and surgical procedures

Monitor anaesthesia and provide support in surgical preparation and recovery

Provide care and monitoring for hospitalised patients

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the clinic and treatment areas

Support with general admin, reception and greeting clients when needed.

About You:

A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is essential

Ability to confidently work unsupervised

Confident in monitoring anaesthesia and handling animals in a clinical setting

Confident in training/overseeing junior nurses

Friendly, professional, and client-focused

Excellent communication and multitasking abilities

A genuine passion for animal care and wellbeing

Australian citizenship is mandatory for this position
