Accounting Manager

San Jose; Hybrid

$130k-155k base + Bonus

 

Day to Day:

Handle detailed booking, reconciliation, and distributions for a big fund complex
Responsible for quarterly close process for various fund entities
Prepare distribution and capital call calculations, notice letters
Understand and apply LPA terms, especially carry waterfall and expense allocations
Support annual external audits and resolve technical accounting issues
Assist with cash management monitoring and projections
Collaborate with third-party administrator as needed
Address inquiries from deal and compliance teams
Respond to scheduled and ad hoc information requests from limited partners
Prepare quarterly and annual LP customized schedules
Assist operational due diligence processes during fundraises
Requirements
Ideal Candidate:

CPA license is a plus
4+ years of experience in public accounting, specifically in audit with VC or PE clients, or currently in-house within the VC or PE sector
Experience managing financial tasks like booking, reconciliations, quarterly closings, distributions, and audits
Desired qualities: intelligence, strong work ethic, attention to detail
Solid understanding of partnership accounting under US GAAP
Ability to positively contribute to team and firm growth
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively
Experience with Investran is a plus
