CivPlan is an established and growing civil engineering consultancy specialising in the design and client-side project management for a broad range of land development and civil infrastructure projects. Our client base is from both the public and private sectors, with ongoing and future projects across NSW. Our work covers the entire life cycle of any project, from the planning and conceptual design, through to the detailed design and delivery phases. About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our engineering teams to work across a diverse range of projects in the residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. You will be part of a team to develop innovative design solutions and undertake hands on management of projects through all phases of planning, design, and delivery.

Working from the Nowra/Bomaderry office on the South Coast of NSW, your work will primarily consist of civil engineering design of land development projects including, but not limited to the design of road geometry, stormwater drainage, sewer and water network design. Stormwater drainage includes the design of pit and pipe networks, onsite detention, water sensitive urban design principals to maximise water quality outcomes, and flood modelling. You will also be expected to support CivPlan’s other functions which include environmental engineering investigation tasks such as onsite wastewater management, as well as project management and superintendence that including onsite meetings with clients, authorities, contractors, field work and site inspections.

Skills and experience

Relevant tertiary qualification in a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
Minimum 2 year’s experience working as a Civil Engineer in the design consultancy sector.
Membership with Engineers Australia is desirable.
Proficient with civil design software such as Civil Site Design (CSD), or equivalent (12D or Civil 3D) is essential.
Ability to draft own designs using BricsCAD or AutoCAD is essential.
Proficiency with using DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, and QGIS is highly desirable.
Proficient with Microsoft Office packages is essential.
Knowledge of relevant standards, specifications, and guidelines relating to Civil and Environmental Engineering in both the Construction, but more specifically Design fields.
