Accountant job description

Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Input financial data into the accounting system accurately and efficiently.
Invoice Processing: Processing of invoices for services/goods received from the suppliers
and ensure proper coding and documentation. Cost analysis.
Accounts Receivable: Daily POS system reconciliation. Monitoring accounts receivable,
sending out invoices, and following up on outstanding payments.
Accounts Payable: Verifying invoices from vendors, and reconciling statements of
accounts.
Cash: Managing and monitoring of cash receipts, petty cash accounting.
Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records,
including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
Reconciliation: Other account reconciliations as required.
Reporting: Generate basic financial reports and assist in preparing financial statements for
review. Prepare daily reports for the Management.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting
department, such as filing, answering phones, and responding to incoming emails.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and
regulatory requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or F&B industry
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Good English communication skills and Excel skills.
Basic knowledge of UAE tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
