About the role

Vetmed is a trusted name in veterinary care, is seeking a Qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Randwick NSW 2031. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary professional to contribute to the health and wellbeing of companion animals.

What you'll be doing

Assisting veterinarians in the examination, medical treatment, and care of animals
Assisting in advanced surgical procedures, chemotherapy, radiology and dental procedures
Performing routine nursing duties such as administering medication, monitoring patients, and maintaining patient records
Preparing and sterilising surgical instruments and equipment
Handling and restraining animals during procedures
Providing compassionate customer service to clients and their pets
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Participating in continuing education and training programs to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
What we're looking for

Formal qualification as a Veterinary Nurse or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to providing the highest level of patient care and customer service
Proficiency in the use of veterinary software and equipment
