Advance your career as an Accounting Associate with a successful organization and take responsibility for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent role is for an Accounting Clerk in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, area. 

Major responsibilities

- Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects

- Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

- Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed

- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

- Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports

- Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts

- Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

- Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers

Requirements

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience

- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

- Outstanding data entry skills

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus

- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critic
