We are seeking a Bookkeeper with great interpersonal skills and a background in accounting to join our team. This long-term contract / temporary Bookkeeper role will be located in the Albany, New York area. How you will make an impact

-Enter all invoices into financial database, create all vendor checks.& maintain system for invoices to be paid and paid invoices.

-Create daily bank deposit, enter deposit detail into financial database & maintain system for deposit records.

-Process payroll bi-weekly, prepare schedule of payrolls for payroll servicer & maintain files of payroll-related documents.

-Enter all new employees into database & update current employees’ changes as required.

-Prepare and enter all journal entries for each payroll run.

-Reconcile and create journal entries as needed each month for: prepaid expenses, depreciation, pledge receivables, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

-Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Knowledge of Annual External Audit

- Basic Bookkeeping experience

- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred

- Prior experience using accounting software

- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred
