Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer with experience in robotics, automation, CAD development, and machinery design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, designing factory machinery, and creating detailed engineering drawings. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, creative problem solving skills, and being an overview while the products are being built.

Key Responsibilities:

Robotics and Automation:
Design, develop, and implement robotic systems and automation solutions to streamline manufacturing processes.
Program and configure robots for various applications, including assembly, welding, material handling, and inspection.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to robotic systems and automation equipment.
CAD Development and Drawing:
Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for machinery and production systems using [CAD software, e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor].
Develop and maintain technical documentation for machinery, including assembly instructions, maintenance manuals, and operational guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing and operational requirements.
Machinery Design and Fabrication:
Design and build factory machinery and production equipment, including but not limited to saws, conveyors, and custom tooling.
Develop prototypes, conduct performance testing, and refine designs based on test results and feedback.
Oversee the fabrication and assembly of machinery, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
Process Optimization:
Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
Monitor and analyse performance metrics to ensure processes meet operational goals.
Project Management:
Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and solutions.
Qualifications:

Education:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Experience:
Looking for candidates with experience and a strong focus on robotics, automation, and machinery design.
Proven experience in designing and building factory machinery and equipment.
Proficiency in CAD software for design and drafting.
Skills:
Expertise in robotics systems, including programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of automation technologies and control systems.
Proficient in CAD design and technical drawing.
Hands-on experience in machinery fabrication and assembly.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing or additive manufacturing.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for machinery design and manufacturing.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
