About the Role

Our client is a State Government Department who is currently seeking a Mechanical Tradesperson to start ASAP based at Port Macquarie. This is a 12 month contract role with the potential for an extension.

The primary purpose of the role is to safely undertake a range of duties to maintain and repair various earthworks machines, light and heavy vehicles and mechanical equipment/tools/small engines.

Candidates MUST be a trade qualified mechanic holding at least a Cert 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent, with heavy vehicle experience. You will need to hold a current unencumbered NSW driver licence, plus a white card.

Hours of work:

76 hour, 9 day fortnight

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of certificate 3 Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Must have a White Card
Current driver licence with MR Driver licence or above desirable
Physically fit
Must have 2 x contactable references
