About the role

Mikes Country Kitchen is seeking an experienced Chef / Cook to join our team in Launceston, Tasmania. This is a part-time role, offering a minimum of 25 hours per week.

Permanent residency status is required for this position.

Monday to Friday between the hours of 6.30am and 2.30pm

What you'll be doing,

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes from our diverse menu

Ensuring all meals are prepared to the highest standard of quality and presentation

Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Adhering to all health, safety and food hygiene regulations

Providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive team environment

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar hospitality environment

Experience in any commercial kitchen environment is acceptable.

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation

Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients

Food Handler Certificate is required.
