Description

John Loughnane & Sons Joinery Works Ltd. are currently looking for Spray Painters for their site at Monivea , Athenry, Co. Galway.

Roles and responsibilities as follow:
Inspect, sand, fill, and prepare raw timber and MDF surfaces for painting to guarantee a smooth, flawless base.
Operate industrial airless and gravity-feed spray equipment to apply primers, stains, lacquers and varnishes.
Accurately measure, mix, and match colours, lacquers, and thinners to achieve the exact viscosity, tint, and finish requested by clients.
Inspect finished products for runs, dust, or imperfections; perform touch-ups, buffing, and polishing to achieve a high-end, bespoke finish.
Strictly adhere to workplace safety and environmental regulations, including the proper storage of flammable materials and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years experience in a professional spray painting role, preferably within a furniture or bespoke joinery environment.
Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of different timber coating systems, wood grain filling, and multi-stage finishing (e.g., priming, sealing, and top coating).
Work Ethic: High attention to detail, a steady hand, and the ability to work to tight production deadlines.
