About the Role

NEAL is seeking an experienced Horticulturist to join our team. As a Horticulturist at NEAL, you will play a vital role in nurturing plants and contributing to our landscaping projects. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be responsible for nursery duties, including planting, potting, watering, weeding, and fertilizing. Additionally, you will evaluate plant quality and health, identifying signs of disease or pests to maintain a thriving plant population.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform nursery duties, including planting, potting, watering, weeding, seed sorting, and fertilizing
Evaluate plant quality and health, identifying signs of disease or pests
Complete additional tasks within your capacity as allocated by the Supervisor
Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
Participate in accident investigations and support timely resolution of safety concerns
Attend training and inductions as required
Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications/Skills Required:

Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks
Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively
Knowledge of the industry and related equipment
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
