About the role:

An opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified Cook to join our team at Loreto Home of Compassion. Your new role will see you cooking and creating quality and nutritious meals for our resident. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Preparing and cooking of all meals,
Assisting in the planning of menu’s,
General cleaning of kitchen and servery equipment, and
Transporting food trolleys to and from wings and dining rooms.
About you:

We believe our clients deserve extraordinary support and care. While industry qualifications are important, we also look for the right person with the right values to fit our team. We're looking for someone who:

Has a genuine interest in the aged care industry,
Ideally has some previous commercial cookery experience,
Has good communication skills and is able to work in a team, and
Holds a Food Safety Certificate or is willing to obtain this qualification.
About us:

The Forrest Centre is founded on spiritual support and personal connection, we are a Riverina-based aged care provider. With almost 40 years of experience, we are a registered charity dedicated to ensuring elderly people in the region receive the care they deserve. Our services include at-home care for around 300 clients through Forrest Community Services, as well as residential aged care at Loreto Home of Compassion (76 residents), Mary Potter Nursing Home (70 residents), and The Forrest Centre Hospice (10 residents). Our team of approximately 250 staff share a commitment to respectful, compassionate, and people-centered care.

The Forrest Centre is Wagga Wagga's only independent, local residential aged care provider and are proud of our community heritage. We reflect our values of wellbeing, hospitality, respect, stewardship and compassion in every aspect of our daily operations.
