We are looking for an outstanding, hands-on Head Chef who values their team above all else and thrives in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Leadership: Lead from the front—be actively involved in the kitchen, supporting your team during service and daily operations.

Team Leadership: Place your team first. Motivate and ensure a positive, respectful environment for all kitchen staff.

Team Player: Collaborate with your kitchen and front-of-house colleagues to create a harmonious and efficient operation.

Culinary Expertise: Masterfully execute à la carte cooking and oversee a bustling kitchen that regularly serves 200+ guests in a single evening.

Function Knowledge: Plan and deliver exceptional food for functions and special events.

Operational Management: Create efficient rosters, manage stocktakes, and maintain cost controls while ensuring top-quality ingredients.

Collaboration: Build strong relationships across all restaurant departments to ensure seamless operations.

Adaptability: Display flexibility and apply common sense in handling the demands of a dynamic and high-pressure environment.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in a busy à la carte kitchen environment.

Exceptional leadership skills with a commitment to staff well-being and development.

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting.

Strong organizational skills for roster planning, stock management and cost control.

Function catering experience and a creative approach to menu development.
