Te Whānau Tupu Ngātahi o Aotearoa - Playcentre Aotearoa is a well known and loved Early Childhood organisation with over 80 years of supporting parents to take the lead in their children’s learning through play. Playcentre operates 400 Playcentres throughout the country.

Playcentre is dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for children and their families. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Website and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring our communications are effective and our digital presence is well-maintained.

This permanent part-time position offers 20 hours per week and is based at our National Office in central Porirua.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Content Management:

Maintain the Playcentre website, ensuring information for centres and staff is relevant, accurate, and up to date.

Liaise with website developers regarding issues and necessary changes.

Email Campaign Management:

Support the Communications Manager with the development and distribution of the monthly Bulletin e-newsletter for centres and staff.

Maintain email lists and compile and distribute other email campaigns as required.

Campaign Management:

Assist the Communications Manager with the delivery of key marketing and advertising campaigns.

Communications Support for Centres and Staff:

Respond to enquiries from centres and staff regarding website and communications needs in a timely manner.

Administrative Support:

Perform other communications support and administrative duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in website content management and email marketing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Skills:

Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
