JOB CENTER for migrant workers

WHO WE ARE: Southern Paprika Limited (SPL) is a leading New Zealand greenhouse specialist, growing capsicums, tomatoes and snack cucumbers, located in Warkworth. We currently operate 26 hectares of glasshouse and run a capsicum packhouse and will soon run a tomato packhouse onsite. SPL supplies produce to large domestic and some export markets.

THE ROLE:

We are growing! Be part of the SPL journey and join the team in our tomato packhouse, opening in March 2026. We have 9 exciting new opportunities available: a mix of permanent, casual, and fixed term Packhouse Worker roles. We are looking for motivated team players with effective communication skills. You will be a keen learner with a focus on quality and efficiency.

You will be responsible for:

Packing fruit and preparing packing materials

Operate the bagging and punnet machines

Identify and reject substandard fruit

Provide backup for other positions in the packhouse

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

A reasonable level of fitness to meet the demands of a physical and busy role, lifting up to 20kg

Well-developed efficient communication skills

Keen to learn, a practical thinker, and shows initiative

Previous packhouse experience is beneficial but not essential

Flexibility with hours to deal with our seasonal requirements is a must
