Our Opportunity:

Take your next step in your career as an Electrician, with a role that's part of the renewable energy industry in an environment that will provide you with learning opportunities and plenty of variety.

 

In this role you'll be able to apply your electrical expertise to our team who maintain our Geothermal Central Sites, which includes Ngā Awa Pūrua, Rotokawa and Ngā Tamariki Geothermal Station (1 hour from Rotorua and 18 minutes from Taupō), in a role that centres on finding and resolving solutions to plant faults. This is a unique electrician role where you'll work with a wide variety of machines and controls and an opportunity to be exposed to all the functions for running a geothermal power station.

 

You'll be joining a supportive, collaborative team led by a manager who will be a champion for your growth. We offer a flexible work environment with some of our team enjoying nine-day fortnights and flexibility to work from home while working on some of the administration tasks. Our structure enables people in the same role at different locations to share and connect with professionals of the same interests to learn from to help build and develop your career. You'll join a close-knit team who value supporting each other and putting safety first.

 

 What you'll be doing:

Provide effective and timely response to break-in work including planning and execution of problem-solving with a key focus on safe and long-term solutions
Implement asset management strategies
Manage contractors including scoping, evaluation, monitoring and reporting to ensure successful completion of project requirements
Responsible for the quality assurance and schedule attainment of planned maintenance activities
Provide supervision of maintenance activities to ensure quality standards are met, along with health & safety and compliance all maintained

We are looking for:

Qualified, experienced and motivated Electrical tradespeople, experience working in a high voltage plant at advantage
Relevant experience within plant operations / process control or maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy process industry
Problem solving ability and long-term thinking
People who can adapt to and embrace changeable environments
Experience with instrumentation or protection systems an advantage
