We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Civil Designer to join our team in our Team. The role offers attractive remuneration, flexible working conditions and potential for career growth and development, through ongoing training and the latest in technology.

This role in our Toowoomba Office.

The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse variety of projects requiring the following responsibilities:

Implement and maintain consistent design and drafting standards in accordance with HIG standard policies and client guidelines,

Engineering design of roads, highways, urban developments, stormwater drainage, water and sewer reticulation networks,

Ensure all works are performed as per the project specifications, guidelines, and procedures,

Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and mature judgement in anticipating and solving design and drafting problems,

Comply with quality management systems and demonstrate ability to prevent inconsistencies,

Provide a high level of technical drawing representation input into a variety of civil related projects,

Prepare specifications and other tender documentation and produce clear and concisely written reports.

About you

Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is mandatory

Demonstrated skills and experience in 12D/Civil 3D and AutoCad as well as sound knowledge of the Microsoft office suite

Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

Sound interpretive, analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Commitment to ongoing career development

Class C Drivers License

Knowledge of Department of Transport and Main Roads (QLD) and Australian design standards is an advantage

Technical and practical civil design and drafting skills, specifically within the areas of small to large infrastructure design, drainage and road work design
